Dr Sanji Wasgewatta is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician with additional expertise in General and Acute Care Medicine. She completed her basic physician training at Austin Health before undertaking advanced training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine across Western Health, Monash Health and Royal Darwin Hospital, ultimately obtaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Sanji currently practices as a Respiratory and Sleep Specialist at Monash Lung and Sleep and holds an honorary appointment with Monash University. She is an accredited physician at Warringal Private Hospital, where she also provides peri-operative and general medical care. Alongside her clinical practice, she is actively involved in sleep medicine research through Monash University and Monash Lung and Sleep.
She enjoys all aspects of respiratory and sleep medicine, with particular interests in bronchiectasis, asthma and sleep disorders. Sanji is committed to delivering patient-centred care and works closely with patients and referring doctors to develop personalised management plans that support long-term respiratory health and wellbeing.
