Dr Tracy Leong is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician who graduated from the University of Adelaide before completing specialist training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Western Health and Monash Health in Melbourne. She also holds a Master of Public Health from The University of Melbourne, majoring in Biostatistics and Epidemiology, and completed her PhD at The University of Melbourne with research focused on the pre-clinical applications of endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) in lung cancer.
Tracy currently works as a Respiratory and Sleep Physician at Austin Health, where she plays a lead role in both Interventional Pulmonology and Lung Cancer Services. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex respiratory conditions, with particular interests in lung cancer and advanced bronchoscopic procedures.
Alongside her clinical practice, Tracy is actively involved in research and medical leadership. She currently holds the prestigious David Bickart Clinician Researcher Fellowship at The University of Melbourne, undertaking post-doctoral translational lung cancer research. She is also the Director of Interventional Pulmonology and Respiratory Lung Cancer Lead at Austin Health, a Senior Lung Cancer Researcher at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute, and holds several national and international leadership positions within the fields of lung cancer and interventional pulmonology.
