Professional Summary

Dr Joy Sha is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2008 and completed her basic physician training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne before undertaking advanced training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Frankston Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and Austin Health.

Joy currently works as a Respiratory and Sleep Specialist at Peninsula University Hospital, where she is the clinical lead for the Sleep Service, as well as being part of the lung cancer and bronchoscopy service. She has extensive experience in the assessment and management of a broad range of respiratory and sleep disorders and is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

She has a particular interest in airways disease including asthma and COPD, in addition to sleep disorders. Joy is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, American Thoracic Society and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
