Dr Peter Wallbridge
MBBS FRACP PhD
Dr Peter Wallbridge is a graduate of the University of Adelaide. He trained as a Respiratory and Sleep Physician at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Austin Hospital, completing his training in 2014. He obtained his PhD at the University of Melbourne studying applications of ultrasound in acute respiratory failure and COPD.
Peter currently has appointments as a Respiratory and Sleep physician at the Royal Melbourne and Austin Hospitals, and maintains an active research interest in both respiratory and sleep medicine, and is involved in mentoring basic and advanced physician trainees.
Peter has an interest in airways disease (asthma and COPD), as well as all sleep disorders and has helped establish an endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) service at Warringal Private Hospital, as well as providing perioperative general medical care. He is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and the Australasian Sleep Association.
Peter is committed to providing a holistic patient-focused care.
He has a strong interest (obsession) with football and follows most sports as well as being a keen runner.
