Dr Sanji Wasgewatta, Respiratory and Sleep Physician

Dr Sanji Wasgewatta is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician and a General and Acute Care medicine Physician. Sanji has completed her basic physician training at Austin Hospital in Melbourne. She underwent training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Western Health and Monash Health in Melbourne and in Royal Darwin Hospital to obtain fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

Sanji currently works as a Respiratory and a Sleep Specialist at Monash Lung and Sleep and holds an honorary position at Monash University. She is an accredited physician at Warringal Private Hospital in Heidelberg and practices peri-operative medicine and general medicine.

She likes all facets of respiratory and sleep medicine with subspecialty interests in bronchiectasis, asthma and sleep disorders. She is currently involved in sleep research at Monash University and Monash Lung and Sleep.

Sanji is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, American Thoracic Society and Australasian Sleep Association.

Sanji loves music, reading and is a Melbourne Storm rugby league supporter.
